The Non-Detox, Non-Diet Diet

As you may recall, last year I did a week long detox diet, and although it was quite the new learning experience, I think I’ll try something different this year.  We all know we need something to cleanse our bodies from the unhealthy consumption that was inevitably done over the recent holiday months, right?

Below are Alton Brown‘s fundamentals on eating healthy at home.  It really does just break down how to eat well in general and it has a lot more flexibility than that detox.  He shed 50lbs this past year around this diet.  Although I’m not trying to lose any weight, I am trying to lower my cholesterol.  So the less red meat, fried foods, and fat, the better!  I certainly won’t have a problem with drinking green tea everyday.
